SUMS: Integrated Student Services Seminar

This one day seminar on Integrated Student Services will be held on Friday 20 June.  The conference is organized by the Southern Universities Management Services (SUMS) and will be hosted at the newly opened Student Services Centre at the University of Reading, the Carrington Building.  The day will include a tour of the Carrington Building and a demonstration of Reading’s Helpdesk software.

The event will provide participants with the opportunity to share experience of setting up and managing integrated student services operations in the context of enhancing student experience and managing change.

The sessions planned for this event include:

• Planning and Developing a New Student Centre - Jo Nyirenda and Stefan Kelly, University of Reading
• Joining up the Administration: Registry and Student Care Services – Graham Fice, University of Surrey
• Virtual services and the Help-desk – to be confirmed
• Service Review and Accreditation – Julie Walkling, London Metropolitan University and Chair AMOSSHE
• Post-implementation: What would we have done differently? - Rachel Bell, University of Southampton
• Ongoing Development: Securing Support and Demonstrating Value - Michelle Preston and John Tibble, City University
