Simon Wright

Simon Wright has been Director of Student Services at Swansea University since October 2003.  The Department consists of Residential Services, English Language Training Services and Student Support Services encompassing the Disability Office, Money Advice and Support Office, Student Counselling Service and International Student Advisory Service.

Simon has been a member of AMOSSHE since 2003, joined the Executive in 2004 and is Chair from 2008 to 2010.  During this time he has been involved in a range of work and in particular Disability issues on which he led in drafting the AMOSSHE response to the DRC Post 16 Code of Practice ion 2006.

Simon previously worked at Universities UK (UUK), Higher Education Wales (HEW), Mencap and Student Volunteering UK.  In 1995 Simon was the student member of the National Committee of Enquiry into Higher Education (Dearing Review) that reported in 1997.
