Doing Things Differently: innovative practice in student service delivery

As higher education faces times that will be financially and operationally challenging, bringing a fresh perspective to delivering for students is increasingly important to all Student Services managers.

'Doing things differently' will explore case studies that look at innovative practice already taking place across the sector.  It will give participants the opportunity to discuss how such innovations have come about, and how these examples or the lessons from them could be translated to other areas of practice. 

This is a practical, discussion based day.  It is deliberately condensed into a short programme to allow greater flexibility for travel.  Participants who actively join in group work, challenge ideas and discuss the case studies will gain most benefit from this event.  Breaks will be minimal to keep conversation and pace: participants will be expected to work throughout the full day, including a working lunch.
