Tackling gender-based violenceTackling gender-based violence: institutional approaches

This free webinar for AMOSSHE members and institutional colleagues explores different approaches to tackling the issues of sexual and gender-based violence in a university setting.

Drawing on the experiences of Student Services practitioners from AMOSSHE member organisations including Durham University, The University of Sheffield and Keele University, this is an opportunity to hear about the benefits and challenges encountered in different contexts, and to gather advice and suggestions for developing your own approaches.

The webinar is hosted by AMOSSHE Executive Member Chris Shelley (Director of Student Services, King's College London), who will interview practitioners directly involved in implementing strategies for tackling sexual violence, including:

  • Clarissa Humphreys (Student Support and Training Officer - Sexual Violence and Misconduct, Durham University).
  • Claire Slater (Head of Student Support, Keele University).
  • Kate Hamilton (Student Support Officer, The University of Sheffield).

You can take part in the webinar by watching or listening to the presenters, and you can comment using Twitter. Follow @amosshe_uk and use #amossheCPD to get involved.

This event is free for named AMOSSHE members and employees of AMOSSHE member organisations. Once you register, AMOSSHE will email you with details of how to join the webinar.
