Sexual harassment and misconduct - supporting students Sexual harassment and misconduct: supporting students

This professional development event for Student Services leaders in higher education discusses supporting students in cases of sexual harassment, violence or misconduct. Focusing on how Student Services respond when cases arise, this event explores case study examples of current good practice, sector guidance, and what we can all do differently to improve.

Join us to think about key questions in this area, including:

  • How can we tailor our services to most effectively support all students involved (reporting and responding students, and survivors of sexual violence and harassment)?
  • How can we ensure that we support different student groups that may be especially vulnerable to harassment, and share their experiences (for example LGBTQI+, international students)?
  • What can we learn from this support activity and how do we communicate this effectively to students?

The event is led by AMOSSHE Vice Chair (Professional Development) Chris Warrington (University of Leeds) and AMOSSHE Executive Member Sarah Sweeney (Lancaster University).
