This session will provide delegates with reflections on the response to the Office of the Independent Adjudicator for Higher Education (OIA)'s consultation seeking feedback for a new section in its Good Practice Framework. The consultation sought the opinions of the sector to ensure the framework helps providers develop and follow fair processes, and to serve as a tool to evaluate procedures. The session will provide a summary of key points from the sector and an indication of timeframes.
Tracey is Adjudication Manager at the Office of the Independent Adjudicator for Higher Education (OIA). She joined the OIA in 2014 as an Assistant Adjudicator and became an Adjudication Manager in 2018. Tracey manages a team of Assistant Adjudicators and Senior Assistant Adjudicators, dealing with complex cases. She has played a key role in drafting several sections of the Good Practice Framework over the years and is currently part of a small team responsible for putting together the latest section on harassment and sexual misconduct.
Prior to joining the OIA, Tracey was the Head of Academic Appeals and Student Complaints at the University of Southampton.
