This presentation will explore some of the uses and impacts of AI that UMHAN members (Mental Health Service Managers, Advisers, and Mentors) supporting students with mental health conditions are seeing in their practice.
Dr Rachel Spacey is the Head of Research and Engagement at UMHAN (University Mental Health Advisers Network), joining the charity in 2023. With over 20 years of experience as a researcher in higher education and the charity sector, Rachel is passionate about conducting and communicating evidence-based research on student mental health and widening participation.
Drawing on her own experience of seeking help for mental health difficulties as an undergraduate, Rachel is a passionate advocate. She believes that students with mental health conditions should be fully supported and champions a wider, open conversation about both student and staff wellbeing.
