Presentation

In this session, Dr Sammy Li, Assistant Director of Student Affairs (Postgraduate and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion) at the University of Birmingham, and Chris Warrington (Director of Student Experience & Support) at the University of Leeds, will share insights and reflections from recent reviews of chaplaincy provision undertaken at their respective institutions.

The speakers will explore the drivers for review, key themes that emerged, stakeholder perspectives, and the opportunities and challenges identified for the future of chaplaincy. The session will offer practical reflections for colleagues considering similar reviews or seeking to strengthen the function of chaplaincy in  a university environment. The presentations will be followed by a facilitated discussion, providing participants with an opportunity to reflect on their own institutional contexts and share emerging considerations.
