Jonathan Staal

Assistant Director, Student Services, University of Dundee

Currently Assistant Director, Wellbeing in the Student Services Directorate at Dundee University, Jonathan has responsibility for a range of wellbeing teams covering the work of the Counselling, Enquiry Centre, Disability, Mental Health, Student Funding and Student Support teams, and a role delivering the institution’s safeguarding responsibilities. Previously Inclusion Services Manager at Edinburgh Napier University, he managed the work of the team and his own student caseload and, with partners across the institution, built up inclusive teaching and assessment practice to the point where the university was ready to become the first Scottish signatory to the Disabled Student Commitment. He is also Scotland advisor to the board of the National Association of Disability Practitioners (NADP).
