If your organisation is already a member, you can be added as an additional member.
Membership runs for an academic year (1 August to 31 July). You can only pay for one year at a time. If your organisation joins over halfway through the academic year (so from 1 February 2026), the fee is half price. This discount applies to organisation membership only, not to additional, consultant / researcher or student members.

UK higher education providers with 1 to 3,000 full-time equivalent higher education students.
Join AMOSSHE if your organisation is a UK-based higher education provider, and at least 50% of your student population studies subjects in higher education.
Membership includes:

UK higher education providers with 3,001 to 10,000 full-time equivalent higher education students.
Join AMOSSHE if your organisation is a UK-based higher education provider, and at least 50% of your student population studies subjects in higher education.

UK higher education providers with 10,001 to 20,000 full-time equivalent higher education students.
Join AMOSSHE if your organisation is a UK-based higher education provider, and at least 50% of your student population studies subjects in higher education.

Join AMOSSHE if your organisation is a higher education provider or similar body based outside the UK. As an international member, you can contribute to the collective expertise of our professional association, and in turn benefit from our resources, which include research and tools that are useful to Student Services around the world.

Non-profit or charitable status organisations in the higher education and/or student support sectors.
Join AMOSSHE if you're a non-profit or charitable status organisation in the higher education or student support sectors. Membership is open to organisations who are responsible for enabling student success.

When applying to become a non-profit member, you’ll need to provide information to help us make sure that membership is suitable for your role, and we'll determine if membership for your organisation is consistent with our values and aims.
Corporate organisations in the higher education and/or student support sectors for professionals directly delivering services to students.
Join AMOSSHE if you work for a corporate organisation in the higher education sector. This category applies to you if you’re responsible for the direct delivery of services to students (for example student accommodation staff, non-medical helpers). Membership helps you continue developing and improving the services you provide to students.

Freelance consultant working in the higher education sector, or a professional undertaking research into Student Services.
Join AMOSSHE as an consultant / researcher individual member if you’re a freelance consultant working in the higher sector, or if you’re a professional undertaking research into Student Services. As a member, you have access to our network of professionals and resources to stay up to date with emerging practice and changes in the sector.
When applying to become an individual member, you’ll need to provide information to help us make sure that membership is suitable for your role, and we'll determine if membership for your organisation or research is consistent with our values and aims. If you have a long-term contract with a member organisation (outside of a general consultancy contract), apply to become an additional member.
Join AMOSSHE as a student member. You're eligible to join, if you’re taking a higher education course with a substantial connection in its curriculum to Student Services, such as a postgraduate degree in Student Affairs or Higher Education Management, at a currently active members organisation. As a member, you have access to our network of professionals and resources about the sector for your research.
Before approving your membership, we'll need to confirm that your course is consistent with our aims as an association. Contact us to find out if your course is approved.
When applying to become a member, you’ll also need to provide evidence from your course provider of your status as a currently enrolled student on the relevant course. If your application is successful, we'll notify the lead member of your provider as a courtesy.
