AMOSSHE announces new mentoring programme

We are happy to announce that we are now accepting applications for our first cohort of mentors and mentees. The programme responds to demand from our community for opportunities to connect with colleagues, share expertise and support professional development.

Our vision is to strengthen our community, and as an organisation that promotes sharing best practice and expertise, the time is right to establish a mentoring programme. The programme aims to connect experienced professionals with rising managers and future leaders, creating space to share experiences, reflect on challenges and think about what comes next.

Mentoring offers mentors an opportunity to share their knowledge and experience, develop their coaching skills and support a colleague’s professional growth. For mentees, the relationship will provide a sounding board outside their immediate department or university, helping them test ideas and reflect on their role and next career step.

With time, we trust the programme will take a life of its own that will exponentially enhance and enable the professional skills and develop the careers of our members.
