Howden: Combat loneliness with peer-to-peer wellbeing support

Howden has integrated peer-to-peer mental wellbeing support into its wellbeing proposition in response to insights from our latest Student Happiness Index report. The report revealed that 77% of students have struggled with their mental health in the past 12 months with loneliness and isolation being key contributors to this decline.
The TalkCampus app addresses low-level wellbeing concerns such as loneliness, anxiety, stress, social interactions, and relationship challenges - before they escalate. It provides students with a safe, moderated, and anonymous space to connect with other students and seek advice, offering early-stage support that complements Howden’s Student Assistance Programme.
