AMOSSHE is directed an Executive Committee of twelve AMOSSHE members and Student Services professionals. The Executive, who include AMOSSHE's Chair and Vice Chairs, are elected by the members and volunteer their time to ensure that AMOSSHE works in the best way to support our members, the sector and the student experience.
AMOSSHE also employs a team of permanent staff who manage the running and development of the organisation, guided by the elected Executive Committee. The permanent team are based in AMOSSHE's National Office in London. Meet the National Office team.

Jill Stevenson, Chair
Jill is Dean of Equality, Diversity & Inclusion and Director of Student Services at the University of Stirling.
Emma Bales, Vice Chair
Emma is Director of Student Services at the University of Cumbria.
Helen McNeely, Vice Chair (Operations)
Helen is Head of Student and Academic Affairs at Queen's University Belfast.
Chris Warrington, Vice Chair (Professional Development)
Chris is Head of Student Support at the University of Leeds.
About the Executive
The Executive Committee has four named Chair roles with specific responsibilities. The other eight Executive members lead on various aspects of AMOSSHE work as decided by the Committee. The Executive Committee all commit to their role descriptions and values.
The Executive Committee is elected by ballot, with each AMOSSHE member organisation casting one vote for each vacant role on the committee. No member can serve for more than eight consecutive years.
The Executive Committee meets several times a year to discuss strategy and guide the direction of AMOSSHE. You can read the agendas and minutes of the Executive meetings.

Paul Rossi, Executive Member
Paul is Head of Student Advice & Safeguarding Support at University of the Arts London.
Andy Shanks, Executive Member
Andy is Director of Student Wellbeing at the University of Edinburgh.

Ravteg is Director of Education (Operations) at The Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust.
Sarah Sweeney, Executive Member
Sarah is Head of Student Support and Wellbeing at Lancaster University.
John Bloomfield, Executive Director
John provides operational, strategic and finance support to the AMOSSHE Executive Committee, in order to ensure that they're able to continue to fulfil their role and act properly on behalf of the membership. John is also responsible for line management of the National Office staff and managing AMOSSHE's projects and events programme.
Benjamin Parsons, Head of Engagement
Benjamin manages how AMOSSHE communicates with members and develops the membership community. His work includes devising and delivering a coordinated communications strategy, keeping members up to date with news, conducting member research, and design.
Anya Barbazza, Events and Sponsorship Manager
Anya ensures the quality and efficiency of AMOSSHE’s events, smooth and engaging interactions with members and third parties, and developing and delivering professional development events.
Sam helps improve and develop existing and new resources for AMOSSHE members, including data and research, helping us to produce research and reports on sector challenges through initiatives such as our benchmarking surveys. Sam works with members to interpret reports and frameworks, enabling members to interpret the data from a Student Services perspective, and help AMOSSHE continue to influence the higher education sector to improve the student experience.
Mariana leads on strategic communications for our professional association, including developing content for our website, social media and other communications channels, producing our weekly newsletters, and ensuring the consistency of AMOSSHE’s tone and voice throughout all our communications.
