Our teamAMOSSHE is directed an Executive Committee of twelve AMOSSHE members and Student Services professionals. The Executive, who include AMOSSHE's Chair and Vice Chairs, are elected by the members and volunteer their time to ensure that AMOSSHE works in the best way to support our members, the sector and the student experience. AMOSSHE also employs a team of permanent staff who manage the running and development of the organisation, guided by the elected Executive Committee. Chris Warrington, Vice Chair (Professional Development)Chris is Director of Student Experience and Support at the University of Leeds. | About the ExecutiveThe Executive Committee has four named Chair roles with specific responsibilities. The other eight Executive members lead on various aspects of AMOSSHE work as decided by the Committee. The Executive Committee all commit to their role descriptions and values. The Executive Committee is elected by ballot, with each AMOSSHE member organisation casting one vote for each vacant role on the committee. No member can serve for more than eight consecutive years. The Executive Committee meets several times a year to discuss strategy and guide the direction of AMOSSHE. You can read the agendas and minutes of the Executive meetings. Jaimee leads on our professional development events programme, including all logistical and administrative activities, managing budgets, and liaising with speakers, venues and suppliers. Jaimee also leads on developing the sponsorship partner proposition for AMOSSHE, including developing new leads and opportunities. |
Emma Maslin, Senior Policy and Research Officer |
Emma supports our members on policy and research initiatives, interpreting and summarising higher education policy and research from a Student Services perspective, and conducting new research on sector challenges and benchmarking. Emma also leads on our policy positions and responses, and represents our members on internal and external meetings. |
Julia Jean-Baptiste, Communications OfficerJulia helps implement our communications strategy, ensuring a consistent tone and voice throughout all our channels, and produces our weekly newsletters, website content, and social media activities. |
Michelle Scop, Office and Operations CoordinatorMichelle ensures the quality and efficiency of AMOSSHE's administration, including support for members, sponsors and general queries, finance administration, and the administrative functions of the AMOSSHE National Office. |
