This professional development event for Student Services practitioners explores how artificial intelligence is being used to improve efficiency, accessibility, and the student experience in Student Services.

The first part focuses on building a shared understanding of AI. Delegates will explore students’ perceptions and use of AI, alongside its emerging impact on mental health and wellbeing. The sessions will provide context for how AI is currently shaping the student experience and what that means for Student Services teams. This includes its impact on students’ mental health and the changing needs that teams need to respond to.

The second part will move to inform practice with case studies from providers already using AI in different ways. As well, a discussion that goes beyond implementation by tackling the philosophical questions AI raises for the sector, including its role, limits, and ethical implications in student support.

Take this opportunity to step back and hear from peer institutions about how they’re using the new technology, including how AI fits within disability services and supports neurodivergent learners. The event also covers how students are using AI to navigate their university experience, as well as their expectations of institutions in return.

Join us to expand your knowledge, or even if you’re new to looking into AI, to identify the areas where it can most impact Student Services.
