Creating safer campuses: what’s new with ‘Consent Matters’

Your update from Epigeum: creating a culture of safety, support and inclusivity across campus life.

Epigeum is proud to announce that Consent matters’ will be receiving a fresh update in mid-November!

Why the update? Epigeum recognises the importance of ensuring ‘Consent matters’ remains aligned with current regulations, societal trends and the latest research. The upcoming refresh will also bring the course in closer alignment with the well-received Tackling harassment and sexual misconduct, while retaining distinctive course content to ensure both offerings complement each other.

Consent Matters explores the importance of good communication, clear boundaries and mutual respect in relationships. It delivers engaging, evidence-based training that reflects the vibrant world of student life, including diversity in relationship styles, racial representations and realistic peer perspectives.

The update will include revisions that reflect recent developments in sector priorities, the growing concern around misogyny (particularly in online contexts), and the risks associated with platform-mediated harms and online forms of abuse.

Explore how Consent matters can support your institution in creating a culture of safety, support and inclusivity across campus life.
