Randstad: combatting "quiet quitting" - support for your students, and your team

The start of the second semester is a critical crossroads for student retention.

As we hit a peak for student non-continuation, those with neurodiversity or mental health challenges are at higher risk. At Randstad Student Support, we provide the targeted, scalable intervention needed to ensure these students don't fall through the cracks.

Our specialist Student Services:

  • Counselling support: Reduce waiting lists with access to 1,000+ accredited professionals; 90% of students are seen by a Counsellor within one week. We offer counselling in over 16 different languages to ensure culturally competent support.
  • Specialist NMH support: We deliver the full spectrum of non-medical help (NMH), including British Sign Language interpreting, apprentice support, and "out of hours" provision.
  • Employability coaching: Targeted 121 coaching for neurodivergent student cohorts, that has led to an 88% increase in confidence in transitioning to work.

Supporting Student Services teams:

This period also brings internal staffing pressures due to absence or backlogs. We recently placed 2 Disability Advisers into one London University, where the Student Wellbeing & Inclusion Manager, shared:

Both advisers recruited through Randstad have been excellent; they have integrated well into our existing model and have been proactive in supporting our backlog and student demand. The additional capacity has had a clear impact in helping us provide more timely support and progress reasonable adjustments... their contribution has supported service resilience during a particularly high-demand period."

Whether you need temporary cover for sickness or permanent recruitment, we ensure your service remains sustainable.
