11:30 Being a change leader in higher education
(John Hemingway, Director of ICT, University of Hull)
Some say that ‘business as usual’ ended in higher education in 2010. Change is now an essential part of life in any UK university. The volume of change seems to be increasing, as does the complexity. This workshop will explore some of the elements inherent in dealing with change, and will invite you to reflect on your own responses to change and provide some practical tools, tips and techniques that you can take away.
Leading with integrity
(Paula Harrison Woods, Director of Student Administration and Support, University of Liverpool)
This session will encourage you to consider a range of scenarios that face us as leaders, and to think about how to respond with integrity when there are multiple challenges and demands. You’ll discuss what leading with integrity means, how we can demonstrate living out our own values as leaders, and how this impacts on those we work with.
13:00 Lunch
13:45 Repeat of workshop sessions
